Hey everybody, I want to welcome you to my new series, Michaela McPherson Mysteries. The series is set in Richmond where Irish born Michela (Mic) McPherson, a former Richmond homicide detective her retired police dog Angel, and best friend and side kick 82 year old Italian Countess Dorothy Borghase are up to their ears in solving crime that requires quick thinking and ingenious solutions.

A young woman disappears after a job interview at a well-known dentist’s office in Richmond and Mic, Dorothy and Detective Slade O’Brien join forces to solve the crime…a crime with long reaching tentacles that spans continents and generations.
"Please don't do this to me. Why are you hurting me,” the young
voice sobbed. “I don't know who you are!”
A large hand with dirty, stained fingernails grabbed her shoulder roughly. “Shut up,” he growled as he shook her ferociously until her teeth chattered.
Her tattooed abductor terrified her as she focused on the snake tattoo on his hand. “Just let me go, and I promise I won't tell anyone," the young woman whimpered. “I promise.”
“Shut up, or I’ll really hurt you,” the savage voice promised as he slapped her face and slammed her into the side of the vehicle. He shoved her again and bent her body like a pretzel. His body covered hers, making it impossible for anyone to see her from three sides.
The young woman's voice raised to feverish pitch as another person pushed her into the trunk of her car. The monster pinned her arms behind her head and shoved her elbow against the spare tire. She winced as an excruciating, burning pain sent stinging shocks into her head. She cried uncontrollably and could not stop shaking.
"Shut your yammer,” the man hissed softly, his face so close to her blindfold she could smell his foul breath. “If you don't, it’ll be much worse for you," he warned as he loomed over her, making her feel small and defenseless. She couldn't see him through her translucent blindfold but sensed he had dark hair.
"Please, please, please just let me go. My father will give you a reward. He has a lot of money." As she made the promise, her teeth chattered violently. Tears streamed down her face, making her cough. She was unable to brush them away.
The man laughed a slow, evil sound that caused chill bumps on her arms. "Your father doesn't have enough money to stop what we have planned for you, not nearly enough, so shut your pretty mouth and be quiet before I put your lights off."
A wave of fresh sobs exploded from the terrified woman as she lay in the trunk of the car. Her body shuddered from head to toe, and she couldn’t control the tears streaming from her face.
The noise infuriated her assailant as he glowered at his helpless victim. A feeling of euphoria settled over him. He loved watching helpless women squirm. He shook her head and pounded it against the trunk of the car.
"I told you to shut up. If you don’t stop screaming, I'm gonna cut your voice box out. Do you understand?"
Allison nodded and coughed.
“Be quiet.” Allison heard a female voice speak for the first time. “I’d hate to mess up your pretty face,” she said in a singsong voice that frightened the young woman more than the snarl and guttural voice of the man.
A wave of fresh sobs exploded from the scared woman, as she lay helpless in the trunk of the car.
She thrashed around wildly. Where’d the woman come from? She tried to see her through her blindfold but she couldn’t. For some reason, she was more frightened of the woman. Her body shook, and her teeth chattered.
“I hope the bitch doesn’t mess herself up,” the man commented.
The woman stared at him. “You know what to do, so just do it.”
The man hesitated for an instant, and the woman pushed him aside and glared at the helpless young captive.
That was when the lights went out for Allison Massie. The woman stepped back with an evil smile on her face and murmured, “Well, I guess I shut her up.”
Despite the choke hold, the woman glared at him defiantly.
The tattooed man let her go and pushed her against the car. “Get back in the office and do damage control,” he snarled, “and don’t ever cross me again.” He jumped in the car and headed west.

A superb read for all lovers of outstanding crime thrillers.
By Enrico Grafitti on February 17, 2016
Queen of NOLA Medical Thrillers, Judith Lucci, starts a new series with ‘The Case of Dr. Dude” and it has all the promise of being a new bestseller for her avid fans. Set in Richmond, Virginia, the series features an ex-cop turned Private Investigator, Michaela McPherson, whose informal partnership with an ageing Italian noblewoman, Countess Dorothy (Dottie) Borghese, and backed-up by her retired police dog Angel, make for an intriguing and heart-warming trio that tackle the most brutal of crimes. In this first novel of the series the issue is the kidnapping and selling of young girls into the white slave trade.
The author’s impeccable research shows on every page as her protagonists delve into the mystery of the missing women and take on the Russian mafia in this fast-paced thriller. The skill with which Lucci has placed her readers on the streets of New Orleans in her medical thrillers is present here too and we quickly feel at home in Richmond, as the tale unfolds.
The story is solid; the villains despicable, and the protagonists people you will instantly empathise with in this complex tale. Mic and Dottie find themselves in a race against the clock to save the life of the victims and you will find your heart thumping with excitement as the story barrels along to its finale. A superb read for all lovers of outstanding crime thrillers.

Excellent read

Another Winning Series!
Judith Lucci has done it again! She has created another great series filled with unique and interesting characters, great description and a complex plot with twists, turns and surprises. Michaela (Mic) McPherson is a retired homicide detective from Richmond, Virginia (Lucci’s home town) whose best friend is Dottie, an aging Italian Countess who, along with Mic’s ‘retired’ police dog, Angel, solve difficult crimes. As always, Lucci’s book is impeccably researched and peppered with suspense and intrigue. The trio in this book have attacked the global issue of human sex trafficking as Mic, Dottie and Angel tussle with an aberrant dentist, his crazed assistant and the Russian mob to rescue a young woman who disappeared after a job interview at Dr. Dude’s office.
Judith Lucci again has penned an amazing page-turner in the first book that is as.exciting and memorable as Alex Destephano medical thrillers. I cannot wait for the next Mic McPherson mystery.

Just as we cannot live without dreams, we cannot live without love. Love is not found, for love is truly blind. Lovers do not meet for they dwell inside of one another until the moment a whisper ignites the heart and a kiss touches the soul. And we call that the beginning...of life with love.

So on Valentine's Day, what better way to lay tribute to love and lovers than with a love story that just happens
—not on purpose, not by design, not by any other intention than to live life and love without boundaries? To fly limitless into the arms of someone who completes your soul gives one wings.

Nothing can stop the power of love between a man and a woman.

This is a story about a professional woman, unlucky in love and tired of all things testosterone, who is erotically tempted by a female piano bar player and torch singer. Her intended tryst is derailed when she meets a Navy Seal in the lounge enjoying the sweet temptations of a Southern Comfort Manhattan.

How does the night unfold for the strangers above the jeweled colored sparkling lights strewn like a bed in the valley below? Perhaps a twosome or maybe a threesome. Or...

Perhaps forever is only for a night.

You know, the longer and more that I do this, it never gets easier to talk about myself. I think writers are inherently private, why I don’t know, because everything we write is revealing in some way. But, I love talking about my books and characters, so I guess, someday, I’ll get used to talking about myself too!

How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
In many respects, I have written most of my life. I was in sales and marketing before I retired and I had to write proposals, proformas, presentations and contracts so I had to have some command of the English language. It was only after I started writing provocative romance and erotica that I realized how little command I actually have!! But, I started, in earnest, writing stories and books in 2010. My first story, The Storm, was published in 2010 by Oysters & Chocolate, an online magazine now defunct. The $10 I earned mad me a pro! I hope that isn’t a sign of things to come!

How did you come up with this story?
I wrote a very short workshop teaser, The Bath, for a group I am in in which the woman bathing dozes and feels hands on her, soothing her tired muscles and becoming more insistent, erotically. She gives herself over to the sensations and then as she drains the tub thinks she sees a face in the water. It was the beginning or a romance that spans a century about a seafaring man that keeps returning to his home to try to find his beloved, Amalya who died in childbirth. He mistakenly thinks that Emily, now  in his home, is she. That is how this all started and these two characters literally swept me away.

What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
As always, the agony of a blank page and the ecstasy of two little words, “The End”. In all fairness, writing is a solitary endeavor, so the loneliness gets to me occasionally, but I have taken to the couch and write beside my husband as he does his crossword puzzles and watches sports. And I have my characters to keep me company.

What inspires you to write?
I know writers always say ‘everything’ but for me, that really isn’t true. A melody might, something that happened to me in my life, someone, or something I saw. Once, on the day that JFK was assassinated, my Mother and I were shopping in Paris. My Dad was an Air Force colonel and we were stationed there for three years, but that is a story in and of itself! Anyway, I saw a man strike a woman across the Champs Elysees in front of the Arc de Triomphe. The ‘City of Love’ changed for me forever in that one moment. Things like that inspire me. Politics, for example, do not so everything is not inspiring to me. I suspect, to sum it up, the human condition is fascinating to me; how people treat and react to one another at their best and worst, is inspiring.

How did you conduct your research for Consenting Hearts?
Humm, I really didn’t. This is another time when much of what I wrote, I lived. The same is true of Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences, although not all, for sure. The setting in The Para-Postage of Emily, is on an island between Lake Michigan and Green Bay. For many years, my husband and I lived on an Island in the middle between both of those bodies of water and the ferry had to cross “Death’s Door, so named by the Indians because of the treacherous currents. It is a small 36 square mile island settled by Nordic settlers many generations ago so many of the current residents are related. Small Island, big gossip! Anyway, we lived there for nearly 20 years. That is where this story takes place, in a small part of my heart. For Consenting Hearts, The beginning is how I met my husband. The drama surrounding the meeting is pure fabrication, as is the rest of the story, but that is how this lovely piece begins and why.

What are 3 of your favorite lines/quotes from Consenting Hearts?
I have so many, but these are just a few that are PG rated for this interview:

Sailie took her first sip, feeling the warmth of the drink claiming her body, inch by inch. She savored that very first sip luxuriously. It was like a lover’s hands sliding down her body, igniting every inch as they felt their way to her toes.

Swish, swish, swish…and her thong bit into her tender folds as a poignant reminder.

Dylan lit a cigar and Sailie thought she would like to die in his arms from the mere honeyed scent of the burning leaves.

What would your friends say is your best quality?
I am a good friend, I think they would say. I hope they would anyway. I try to be helpful and supportive. It is so hard to be a writer today. There are 55,000 new books published monthly. Anyone can write and publish a book. I can be very discouraging for an author to be read and, as you know, promotion is time consuming and exhausting leaving little time to do what you love. I try to do whatever I can to help my friends. I try to be generous with my time and whatever talent I possess that might be useful to them.

Are reader reviews important to you?
Reader reviews are very important to me. Positive reinforcement is essential to my life-force. It is like getting all dressed up for a party looking your best, and no one notices if I don’t get reviews. And it is crushing. You know, shameless self-promotion only goes so far, and that’s usually with your family! As in anything, word of mouth is the best form of advertising—and so it goes with books. Oddly enough, while I don’t particularly care for average reviews, they do not bother me. You cannot please everyone and one really never knows a reader’s points of reference. Anyway, I am harder on my work than anyone else could ever be.

I have been fortunate to be selected as a Readers' Favorite. You can read some of the wonderful nearly two dozen 5 star reviews here:

What do you do when you don’t write?
My husband and I used to boat, but we lost interest when gas prices went so high. We had a 28’ Grady White. Beautiful boat. But we could eat lobster every day for what it cost us to go fishing in the Gulf a few times a month! That takes all the fun out of a hobby. I walk a lot as, like Emily, I have a wee Havanese dog of 12 fluffy pounds and I sew. I am also a licensed realtor, although I have been ‘inactive’ for the last year making a heartfelt effort with my writing. Come to think of it, I have done little else but write in the last year!!

Tell us about your other books?
Thank you for asking. I have this new book on pre-order now releasing on Valentine’s Day titled Consenting Heart: A Very Special Valentines. Pre-order here. It includes elements of the day I met my husband but the rest is pure sizzling fiction. That is where this love story takes place, in a small part of my heart. The story of a seafaring man, tormented by loss and love, who returns nightly for his love Amalya who died in childbirth, only to discover Emily who now owns his home. Love across a century. Very sexy, very romantic! Order Here

Then I am contributing to a real scorcher, Alpha Fever: 22 Sizzling Contemporary and Paranormal Romance Stories. My story is about a good neighbor and The Butterfly Collector. Pre-order here. It has an interesting backdrop of BDSM. I am not  proficient in that genre so it is mild, but still an interesting story I think about releasing ourselves to the care and trust of another and how we blossom as a result of what we learn about ourselves. The protagonist has a club foot, and yes, I once dated a man with a club foot. As with most disabilities, visible or not, it is our own feelings about it that are the most crippling. My last release was a fund raiser I help with for a friend that suffers from Ataxia, a neurological disorder affecting voluntary coordination of muscle movements. I wrote an inspirational piece about when I was raped and how we can overcome anything, with the right help and desire. This Beautiful Escape Order Here All proceeds go to charity and you’ll learn a little more about me and have loads of inspiring stories, poems, quotes and daily reads to perk you up.

I have thirteen or so books/anthologies published now so I can’t talk about each of them, however, I love Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences as one of my favs and also, along with Emily, I am writing a sequel. This is an interracial love story about a famous opera star and a young beautiful designer. And yes, I did ‘know’ a celebrated opera star and the famous San Francisco Whitcomb Hotel does exist. My last release, written with my friend Chrissy Laurence, was in September in the form of Cheerleaders in Heat and that is a real 5 flame eroco-throbber. Fun and funny, but serious, it exposes the underbelly of life in South Miami’s nightlife; there is some violence that alters the course of my heroine’s life.
Your readers will be hearing more about those books in the coming months as we delve deeper into my sordid writing and past. In the meantime, they can check out my books and add them to there Wish List on my Amazon Author Page

If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers
to know what would it be?
I never graduated from college. Most people do not know that about me and just assume I did. While I would never want alter the course of my life, that is my second greatest regret. But, I am happy with how my life has gone; I am wealthy beyond money, I had a great career as a Regional Director with IBM, and my life has been enriched by all those that have touched me and continue to love me. I have a wonderful husband who thinks it is funny I write ‘porn’ and a step-son who thinks I am awesome. Could it get any better than that?

Well, I suppose I should say “Good Bye” as I would hate to bore you into thinking my books are equally tiresome! They are lovely. Read some of the reviews, speaking of reviews. It has been an honor to be here with you today. I so appreciate your time and interest in sharing my work with your friends, family and fans. They are all a special lot and I love each and every one of them. Thank you for stopping by.

She told him what she had done to herself in the ladies’ room, the slight smell of vodka and lemons on her breath escaping from full, ruby lips as he watched them move with each word and syllable. He was getting hard again; she could see the bulge in his pants. She described in detail exactly what she had done, how she felt and how it had made her feel when she emerged from the ladies’ room: strong, powerful, in control—hot. She leaned in closer and whispered into his ear.
“I am so tempted to guide your hand up to the wet desire you caused between my thighs.”
His bulge was quite obviously rock hard, as he no doubt remembered when she’d returned from the ladies’ room but in earnest at her seductive suggestion…
“I would be less than an officer and a gentleman if I didn’t oblige. I must confess,” Dylan said, “I thought I smelled the fragrance of sex on you, and you made me hard as steel—Navy steel hard…Jesus, Sailie…” Ordinarily, a comment like that would have brought some chuckles but the two of them were dead serious, staring into one another’s hungry eyes.
â€œLast call for alcohol. You don’t hafta go home; you just gotta go. You can’t stay here,” the bartender hollered interrupting their locked gaze.
People started to shuffle around them gathering their things, collecting their coats and umbrellas, leaving. Sailie and Dylan had just gotten fresh drinks, so they had a few minutes to whisper and touch before they would have to join the others and leave. Shortly, the bartender started turning on lights and flashing them dim to high. That was the universal message that before too long, they would stay on. Sailie and Dylan were unconcerned. They had nothing but one another in their shared look. And Sailie thought of the torch singer.
The piano player stood, looked at Sailie and blew out the candle on her piano. In the flicker of the burning light, Sailie saw the invitation.
Dylan broke his gaze, stood and took Sailie’s elbow. “We’d better leave before they have us arrested,” he said. And they smiled, knowingly, at one another. Sailie was hoping there would be better reasons ahead to get them both arrested.
“Wait. Do you mind if I give my friend, Meesa, a ride home?”
“Meesa?” Disappointment hung on his voice.
“The piano player.”
“Oh…no, of course not. But, I have a small car.”
“No problem. I mean, would you like to have a nightcap at my house? I’ll ride with you and Meesa can bring my car when she is finished here. She doesn’t have one. You don’t mind, do you?” What could he say sporting that hard-on?
“No, I mean yes! I would love to come have a drink at your house and no, I don’t mind if she brings your car. I didn’t realize you were friends.”
“Well, yes, we’ve been friends for a little while. I’ll explain later. Let me give her the keys.”
As they rose to go, Sailie broke away from the man who had held her attention the entire night to the woman that held it now. She bent to the young woman’s ear as she slipped a twenty into the bountiful brandy snifter and inhaled the lavender fragrance she remembered so swell. Her aroma sent an electric bolt to the moist center of Sailie’s desire.
“Come to my house when you are finished, won’t you?”
“Yes, of course, I will. I’ve been watching you all night, both of you, but then you knew that,” the long-legged blond with the soft fingertips answered matter-of-factly.
“Here are my keys. We’ll have a drink. You will come, promise? Do you remember how to get there?”
“Of course, I said I will, Sailie. I’ll be here awhile cleaning up, but I should be there in about an hour. And yes, I remember how to get there. It hasn’t been that long—just last night.”
“You don’t mind him, too, do you?”
“Mind? Oh, lord Sailie, no. Are you fucking kidding? He’s gorgeous. And you look absolutely radiant. Is that an iridescent blush on your cheeks? You look beautiful.”
“Thank you, sugar. No, it’s not blush but excitement and a little bit of cum. See ya at my house.”
Sailie kissed her ear, the twenty safely tucked in the snifter, sucked her earlobe into her mouth with a little flick of her tongue and turned to the man that had her mojo melting.
“Come on, Dylan. Are you ready to go? I’ll ride with you to my house.”
“Ah, sure, Sailie. You, ah…you, ah, you kissed her…?”
“Yes,” Sailie turned and wiggled a wave to Meesa. “We’re close.”
“Oh, well, then…”

Prologue

The beginning of time - the world is a beautiful paradise made by the God’s love. God sits on his heavenly throne on the second day, admiring his masterpiece. His crystal clear eyes glow and he smiles, flashing his brilliant teeth.

Suddenly, he turns around. His clear eyes become brighter, emitting a blue glow, and his face is flushed. He angrily glares at his Archangel Lucifer, the angel of worship.

“Lucifer, how dare you to say in your heart that you will rise above me and set your throne higher than mine? How dare you seek to be worshipped like me? I cast you and your legions from my realm and into the eternal fiery pit. You will be imprisoned for a thousand years.”

Lucifer was created with ultimate wisdom, beauty, and perfection by God. The fall of angels is caused by angels who have freely elected to choose evil and reject God. Their sin is unforgivable and irrevocable.

Beelzebub, along with Lucifer and Leviathan, is the first three angels to fall. Beelzebub and Leviathan were princes of the Seraphim, just below Lucifer.

Lucifer and his legions are released from their prison. They vow to cause chaos and to corrupt the humans.

Who Are The Angels & Where Did They Come From?

The Watchers, the sons of God, were a superior order of Angels. They were on the highest level of heaven. The fallen Angels have had an exclusive bond with the human race since ancient times.

The Watchers, fallen Angels are similar to humans in their appearance.

As the world has multiplied, the Angels have coveted the daughters of men and elected to take them as wives.

A multitude of Angels sinned by mating with women. The Angels were bound by the prime divine dictate to not interfere with the human evolution. These fallen angels led humans to sin through direct interaction and by providing forbidden knowledge.

The Angels decided to ignore God’s decree. They rebelled his ruling and instructed the human race.

Their actions initiated disastrous ramifications for both themselves and humanity.

They wish to ask for divine intervention during the reign of the Fallen Angels (Watchers).

Samyaza leads the angels to mate with women. Angels mating with humans is against God’s command and is a cursed action, resulting in the wrath of God coming upon Earth.

Leagues of Angels are chained, imprisoned in eternal punishment.

I found the story of The Watchers, the Fallen Angels, fascinating. The thought that their fall was due to the charms of women. The power that a woman has over a man is incredible and amazing. The charms of women brought the angels to their knees, giving up their heavenly thrones, and risked the wrath of God. Their sin (According to several different books, it’s understandable that it would be up to great debates, but it is not my intention to write or dissect different religions and beliefs.) to descend from the heavens to mate with women and to teach humanity different skills.

The series The Watchers, are about the Fallen Angels. I selected the ones that are supposedly the leaders of the mass of fallen angels.

I thought, why not write about their punishment, their atonement and release, and falling in love. They, of course, have to save the world from the Dark Prince.

The thought by many is that they’re demons and others that they’re fallen angels that wanted to live a normal life with a woman.

Azazel is the second Watcher, Fallen Angel that I selected to write about because he was the one that was close to Samyaza. He taught the secrets of war, to forge metal, mine, and to use different metals. He also thought the women the art of applying makeup.

The Watchers taught humanity technological skills, magical knowledge, and occult wisdom.

I've been reading in the romance and suspense genre since I was a young girl. I dreamed of writing paranormal tales that are packed with fiery romance, incredible sexy wild men, exciting realms, and a dash of suspense.

My greatest thrill in writing the paranormal genre are the limitless range of characteristics, powers, and weaknesses available to develop the characters' and realms. I love sexy angels, gods, vampires, werewolves, dragons, and other entities.

Born and raised in San Jose, California. I now live in Sacramento, California with my gorgeous, loving husband and children. My four beautiful grandchildren are my stars. "A Glimpse Inside"

"The Dream"

Excerpt two from A Glimpse Inside The Para-Portage Of Emily

She looked around the foyer, awestruck. The large ceremonial foyer was big enough for use as a reception hall—perhaps it had been used as such in the glory days of the Island. It was at least two stories high, built of stone with exposed beams of timber and log, and large hand-hewn cross trusses at the ceiling. It was rustic but grand at the same time. There were three matching chandeliers of iron and crystal suspended from the massive trussed ceiling. The floors were all of six-inch antique lumber, polished to a brilliant shine in the setting sunlight. For its size, the massive foyer was warm, surprisingly warm and cozy.

Emily felt quite welcome.

On the walls were wrought-iron fluted sconces matching the chandeliers at equidistance throughout the hallway, lovely hand-woven tapestries and paintings of some family members Emily recognized. But there were also paintings of others she did not recognize. Hung in the parlor, over the considerable stone fireplace where a fire blazed pleasantly and in full view from the foyer, was the most prominent of paintings. Clearly, it had been her uncle’s favorite.
The painting was of a voluptuous young beauty with long auburn locks, tied loosely with a pale pink ribbon. Wisps of her hair escaped the tether and fell rather seductively about her soft shapely shoulders and around the tempting ivory flesh of her exposed bosom. She appeared to be sitting quite privately by her vanity, tending to her feminine indulgences perhaps applying oils and lotions to her pale, velvety skin. Draped in a pink satin cloth or robe of sorts, she was not completely nude. She was an extraordinary creature and, immediately, Emily thought of the Mariner’s Maiden. There was such a likeness, but Emily thought that was quite an impossible coincidence. She wondered whom this young woman was that held such a position of importance in her uncle’s home. She also wondered if she had ever lived or if she was still alive. Were they lovers? She was sure there would be much about her uncle she would discover in the coming days and never grow to understand. She was ashamed to admit to herself she was now more fascinated by him in death. Emily was excited to discover more about him—and his life—now she was here, than she had been while he was alive.

She looked closely at the painting and in faint letters it read, “Amalya” at the bottom. She wondered if that was the beautiful woman or the artist. Although quite taken with the portrait, she had satisfied some measure of her curiosity for the day and, thinking of her father, snapped around, squared her shoulders and settled into her uncle’s desk to begin work. Opening her uncle’s file drawer in his desk, Emily felt intrusive. However, it had to be done. The first file which caught her eye was one on Marnier’s Maiden. She pulled it out, opened the cover and began to read. There were plat maps, surveys, contracts of sale and purchase, title documents, recordings and the usual. There was the technical history, but nothing of the emotional history, which interested her most. Emily read on, as the file was very thick, and perhaps there was more to come. She moved to the leather sofa in the library in between the bookcases and across from the stone fireplace.

The original owner had built the house on five hundred acres of land in the early 1800’s. The technical file was so thick because over the years, as he aged and his family moved away, he had donated much of the land to the town. The hours passed. She read until she fell asleep to the melodious crackling sounds of the fire. Emily was nestled under the throw quite warm and secure. And then, she dreamed…she was floating, soaring, drifting on silken currents and airfoils of magic.

She felt as though she was flying, so light and airy, wispy, so delicate. She could see the land from on high. She could see a young woman with very long auburn hair being chased towards the house by a large male. He was dressed in odd attire, with his pant legs tucked inside his high-topped black polished boots. He was tall, but with his back to her, Emily could not make out his face. His shoulders were broad and his waist narrowed, but flared to thick muscular thighs that moved deliberately under tight leggings. He wore a white billowy shirt, so very bright white, Emily had to squint to block the glare and the scene was out of focus at all the edges. The woman was dressed in a long blue skirt, to the ankles. A wide belt cinched her tiny waist, holding her full white blouse tucked neatly in the band. Off both of her shoulders was the top of the blouse and the sleeves were nipped tight at the wrist. She ran quickly to the front door of the house, looking over her shoulder frequently. The man, who had long masterful strides, easily caught her at the front entrance to the house. Even though it was a dream, Emily felt her heart pounding for the young girl in fear for her safety.

When the stranger grabbed her from behind at the grand oak door, Emily held an involuntary breath anticipating the worst as the man whipped the young woman around to face him. She laughed, loud and hearty, and threw her arms around the laughing, breathless man. They faced one another, and Emily could not make out their features, the glare from the white shirts was still so blinding. The man ran his hand through her hair from her neck up to the back of her head, grabbed a fistful of tousled auburn locks and pulled her face gently towards his. He kissed her with such deep, passionate abandon, Emily gasped. She awoke, abruptly but briefly, to realize she had been holding her breath with a racing heart. Calming herself, breathing evenly, she closed her eyes to return to the dream.

Emily slept again almost immediately.

The couple was inside the house. The man collected the young woman in his arms in the foyer and carried her to the library. In one another’s embrace, he took her to the couch, exactly where Emily now slept, and gently placed her down onto the sofa. He lowered the top of her blouse further down her bodice, exposing her breasts from an uplifting corset which barely covered her nipples. As he bent to draw her breasts out of the confines and kiss each one, Emily saw the young woman had put her arm over her eyes, so Emily still could not see the fullness of her face. The man lovingly took each nipple, one at a time, into his mouth while he twisted and pinched the other. Her areolas responded by swelling and darkening around the hardened nipples. She moaned and moved suggestively, openly welcoming further indulgences. He reveled in her breasts, burying his face between them and licking the private spot of cleavage reserved just for his attentions. The room smelled of lavender, Emily noted in her dream. The young woman surely fancied the lavender fragrance in her evening bathwater. It was very stimulating and seemed so real to Emily.

Loved it!

I just finished The Para-Portage of Emily. Quite the page-turner!! I was gifted a free copy by the author and found it to be a cleverly woven plot with descriptive characters you won’t soon forget. I’m not one to give out spoilers, but if you like paranormal intrigue, hot romance, and mystery, you will love it. Looking forward to more works by Muffy Wilson as I’m sure they will be just as brilliant.

Fall in Love with the Island and Mariner's Maiden

This is a story to savor. Ms. Wilson's descriptions are poetic and enthralling, placing the reader in the midst of the story, and the relaxed pace of the story does not lessen the power of suspense. Shrouded in mystery, romance, and eroticism, "The Para-Portage of Emily" is a treat for the senses, a haunting indulgence. Despite hints throughout, the ending still surprised me, and though satisfied, I regretted the literary journey's end. Highly recommended. I look forward to more from this promising series.

I really enjoyed the Para-Portage of Emily

I really enjoyed the Para-Portage of Emily... a skillfully and imaginatively told tale of love, lost and found. Mysterious twists kept me turning the pages until the end. Love conquers all, AND it was hot!

~ By Barbara A. Lyle

Cross Genre Paranormal Erotic Mystery

Should John Grisham and EL James have a secret love child, she would no doubt pen legal thrillers with a luscious layer of the erotic. They would name their child Muffy Wilson and send her to Stephen King for some pointers in the paranormal.Wilson, in the obliquely titled "The Para-Portage of Emily", interweaves these three diverse genres into a compelling, magic carpet of a novel that takes Emily Macque from Chicago to a bitter island estate two hundred miles north in the frozen sea. Emily is the striking junior partner in her father’s law firm, her mission, to settle the probate on an estate, her destiny to fall into the arms of Colin Jorgenson, a seaman haunted by a past love that torments his life.Intelligent, well-written, with fully fleshed out characters and a story with more twists than a spiral staircase, "The Para-Portage of Emily" had me gripped until the very last page.

Jack and the Magical Beanstalk
by
Pablo Michaels
(@pablomichaels1)

Pablo Michaels transforms Jack and the Beanstalk into a new adult fairy tale:
Jack and the Magical Beanstalk

Blurb:
In this adult fairy tale young, awkward, young Jack sells their prize cow Pearly White for magical beans to a strange man in a red bikini. Little does Jack’s mother, Lorene, know that the beans grow into a giant, magical beanstalk, high above the clouds?

Jack ascends the beanstalk to a land where a Giant Slave serves his larger Master, Jack begs Slave for food to satisfy his hunger from his long journey. But Jack finds Master hoarding treasures.

Attempting to escape the wrath of Master and Slave with the treasures, Jack encounters a handsome, engaging normal sized human man. Sam lives with others that live naturally without clothing deep in the forest. As Jack ages he becomes a handsome man, just like his father, attracting many men, including the two farmhands, Zeke and Adam.

Even though Jack has enabled the farm to prosper with the treasures he stole from Master and is met with increasing danger, he climbs the magical beanstalk again and again to find more treasures and pursue
Sam.

Excerpt:
There was plenty of food to eat, and the farm prospered. Lorene started looking younger and more attractive. Jack was no longer thin and weak. His body was admired by girls, boys his age, and men, especially Zeke and Adam. He developed muscles to fill out his large frame, looking more like his father every day.
One day while working with Zeke, when Adam was at market, Jack paused and scrutinized Zeke, who worked with his shirt off. Zeke noticed Jack’s interest from the corner of his eye. He wiped the sweat from his brow with his right hand and slid his left hand from his neck to his ribcage, down to his bellybutton. Then his fingers traced over his belt buckle to the swelling bulge in his trousers. Closely observing Jack’s reaction, Zeke grinned. He turned toward Jack, who was wiping his brow and unbuttoning his shirt. Zeke started walking through the field toward Jack. They both stared at each other, feeling something carnal. As Zeke approached, Jack started toward Zeke until they were close enough to kiss. Zeke leaned in and kissed Jack. Slowly removing their remaining clothes, they settled on a comfortable spot under a large, old elm tree. Lying down next to Zeke, Jack explored the farmhand’s hairy chest, which was very much like his father’s had been. Jack had only a few sprouts on his nipples and a line running from his ribcage to his navel. While his mouth sucked on Zeke’s nipples, one of Jack’s hands cupped Zeke’s hard dick delicately. The young man was inhibited and proceeded cautiously, as this was his first time with a man. Zeke, lying motionless but aroused, allowed Jack to explore his body. Zeke finally took command, rolling Jack on his back. Expressing his sexual attraction for the younger man, Zeke kissed the crown of Jack’s penis, opening his mouth and swallowing his cock to his balls. After a slight hesitation, he slid his lips firmly up and down Jack’s shaft, slowly at first, then gradually moving faster and faster, until Jack lifted his pelvis and groaned in satisfaction.
After staying in that position momentarily, Zeke stood up. ”You can have mine tonight when your mom and Adam fall asleep. We’ll continue this, more comfortably, in your bed. I’ll come to your bedroom around midnight.” They both dressed and went back to work, toiling aggressively to prove their strength and endurance before each other.
Jack was ecstatic while they thinned the sprouts of corn, anxiously anticipating more action after his first sexual moment with a man; one who still aroused him, indicated by the his erection bulging beneath his trousers.
At midnight, Zeke entered the room, naked, and slipped quietly into bed with Jack. They fondled and kissed for a long time, until Zeke whispered in his ear, “What would you like to try tonight? I can tell by your dick you’re hungry to be satisfied. Do you want me to suck it again? Or do you want to try mine?”
“I want to do you so bad, but I’d love for you to suck me until I’m dry. Is there any way we could do it together?” Jack panted and squirmed, feeling Zeke’s skin touching his own.
“Yes. It’s called sixty-nine. Let me show you how it is done, or have you already imagined what to do?”
Jack nodded his understanding of how to proceed.
“Show me how you’d like to do it then.”
Jack rolled Zeke onto his back. While sitting up, Jack tossed the sheet and blanket over the foot of the bed. “Scoot your body down.”
Zeke followed his instructions. “Let your fantasies go wild.”
Reversing his position, Jack perched his knees above Zeke’s head and lowered his crotch to Zeke’s open mouth. When Zeke’s lips locked onto the young man’s dick, Jack bent his head down to the farmhand’s erect cock. His mouth descended on Zeke’s large penis to his balls, sending a rippling roll of chills throughout Jack’s body. He raised his head and repeated the movement. Zeke responded, pulling Jack’s crotch to his mouth and then pushing it up, just enough for the tip of his penis to remain in his mouth. He adjusted his movements to accommodate Jack’s awkward jerks until they were in unison, ultimately satisfying each other with simultaneous blowjobs.
Jack collapsed on top of Zeke and then rolled onto his side.
Zeke maneuvered his body until his head lay beside Jack’s. “Hey, stud, that’s some fantasy. You were a bit sloppy at first, but after a while you kept up with our rhythm. I couldn’t have taught you better myself.”
“I still crave more of you.” Jack’s confession was made clear by the erection he still maintained in the dim light.
“No problem. I can take care of that.” Zeke understood the hormones raging in the young man’s body. He rolled Jack onto his back to suck his dick a second time. But when Jack came close to orgasm, Zeke ceased sucking, loosening his lips until Jack’s cock stopped throbbing and he gradually stopped panting so strenuously. Then Zeke continued, practicing this procedure several times until Jack’s hands grabbed Zeke’s head, forcing it down to his groin, finally climaxing a second time.
After they lie recuperating and their breathing returned to normal, they talked until nearly dawn, and then Zeke slipped out of Jack’s bedroom.

Author Pablo Michaels does it again!
By Ray Sostre on January 8, 2016
This was a story that was not only outside-the-box, but a very good story that was never dull and filled with absolute fun. Author Pablo Michaels came across with
another worthy read. Although, the story is short and meant to be that way,
but the book is definitely worth getting. You’ll love the flow of the story
from start to finish, and it has a neat fairytale ending to the story
Ray Sostre - AfterDark Online

A Sensual Adaptation of Adventurous Youth: Delicious, Decadent and Delectable
By PA Jiuditta on January 5, 2016
This piece really reflects Pablo Michaels’ creativity. His string of word choices is clever and wraps the scene in vivid visuals. The imagery is sublime. Who is the old man, the stranger, and what does he have to do with Jack and his mother? Pablo has cleverly added poignant character depth by infusing some of Jack's genesis, his family, parents and farm life, even expanded upon it to describe the hardship which was the reason the cow was traded in the first place.
We have a strumming and artful gold harp—delightful—a young man running into forest. When they run into the thicket, do they meet all the other naked men? Are they slaves of the Giant? The panic and fright caused by the Giant was wonderfully underscored in his careful descriptions. I love these, 'rumbles of thunder', 'like a fox on a hunt', 'where daylight became dimmer'. Also his use of the 'thump, crunch' and the cackling hen really added an element of tension and heart pounding pursuit that was so tangible.
This was a cleverly layered piece that I think was a bang on perfect tie-in for the original fairytale story. Pablo adds depth to their situation and tragedy, multiple layers of tension and understanding. I love the fairytale as a child. I love this story as an adult; just love it. It is a well-crafted, beautifully developed, very sensuous taste of adventurous youth that just kept getting better. To the hilt: delicious, decadent and delectable.

A New Spin On A Timeless Classic!
By Imagine The Possibilities on January 1, 2016
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author. This review is my honest opinion and was not asked of me.
Jack and the Magical Beanstalk (Yellow Silk Dreams) by author Pablo Michaels is a testament, of sorts, to the story Jack and The Beanstalk... but from a Gay perspective. This story does follow the premise from the fairy tale in its simplicity but from a very different perspective than its original form. There is definitely some new material here than what most of America knows of the original story, the tale we have all heard so many times. Well, now you can hear it again! This time you will meet several new characters. You will feel the emotion of the young man "jack", as he discovers other young men.
I loved it! I have never read a book from the LGBT genre, but I may read more. This story is highly entertaining to say the least. Pablo Michaels has spun a fantastic "gay" web around Jack. Did Jack know he was gay? I don't think he did, but the story leads him along and helps him discover himself. Not only does he find himself, but he finds true love.
What a wonderful depiction! Bravo Pablo Michaels, Bravo! I would recommend this title to anyone 18+

Not the same old Jack…Old and new collide to bring a fresh face to this old classic
By Robin on December 20, 2015
Mr. Michael’s brought life and a new pop to this old classic. He gave us insight into the dynamics of being raised by a single parent. He molded the old and new into a beautiful piece of imagery with depth making it easy to relate to the hardships and lessons that are learned along the way. Mr. Michael’s adapted Jack making him easily fit into the 21st century while keeping the old charm that made this story a classic.
Mr. Michael’s subtly slipped in analogies which gave the story a bit of humor only adding to the delightfully well written layering of the original fairytale. He brought a sensuous quality to Jack that gave him more dimension and depth.
Pablo Michael’s has created a magical journey into the world of fairytales. I look forward to more.

Welcome to the second piece of "Time-Travel Thursday With Time Trap".

Please follow along on this exciting journey as we Time-Travel with Time Trap!

About The Book

TODD'S IN A STREET GANG, JAMIE WANTS TO BE. TO GET HIS FRIEND'S BACKING AND JOIN THE RIVERSIDE POSSE, HE TAKES HIM TO A SECRET LABORATORY. BUT DISASTER IS ABOUT TO STRIKE...

Who was the mysterious Hector Lightfoot? What was he up to when he disappeared, and who were the two ghosts once seen in his house? School friends Jamie and Todd are destined to find out when they go to London to spend a weekend with Jamie's Uncle Simon, who now lives in that very house. Soon after they arrive, Jamie has a frightening encounter with the two ghosts.

Hector, a veteran from the First Afghan War, joined a covert
expedition to China, and afterwards worked on a secret Government project in an underground lab at theBritish Museum. He vanished suddenly, and was never heard from again.
Simon takes the boys to the lab, where they find a strange contraption – which, unknown to any of them, is a time-travel device. When the building is struck by lightning, the device is energized, and sends the boys back in time to the year 1862. There, surrounded by danger and exposed to disease, they are sucked into a life of crime in order to survive.
Only if they can find Hector will they have any chance of getting home again. But why has he gone into hiding? Who is the man after him and what does he want?
As the boys struggle to escape back to their own time, Jamie becomes convinced that the two ghosts he saw earlier are following them…

Farringdon Road On The Time Trap Trail

Sketch taken from Time Trap

Turn right and stop at the first set of traffic lights. From where you stand, look to the right, and there was the construction site of the Metropolitan Railway. Jamie and Todd climbed down the ladder escaping Billy and his gang, and sprinted into the tunnel. They emerged further up Farringdon Road, only to fall into the hands of Billy and the others.

Extract from the Trail

Knowing its history and development, Farringdon is one of my favorite places in London. Back in the 1860's, the area was awash with Victorian rebuild and innovation. Above, is a sketch of the Metropolitan Line under construction. Opened in !863, with gas-lit wooden carriages hauled by steam locomotives, it was the world's first underground railway.

The "cut and cover" method was a simple way of construction for shallow tunnels, where a trench was excavated and roofed over with an overhead support system strong enough to carry the load of what was to be built above the tunnel. Many houses and buildings were demolished during the works, from Farringdon to Paddington.

Todd read aloud from a large billboard: ‘Metropolitan Railway.’

‘Haven’t you heard of the new form of transport?’ Mr Wiggles asked. ‘Trains that go under the ground? Sounds daft to me; only the sewers should go underground. Can’t see it catching on.’

‘It’s the start of the London Underground,’ said Jamie, softly. ‘The Victorians were so clever.’

‘I’d never have guessed it went this far back in time,’ Todd whispered. He asked Mr Wiggles if they could take a closer look.

‘Oi!’ a juvenile voice shouted.

Jamie’s stomach sank; the gang they had encountered earlier were spread out along the road behind them.

** Reader Reviews**

"Richard Smith has in Time Trap, a very polished debut novel. The research undertaken is evident throughout; the fog-laden city of London, the characters found therein and the localised speech patterns used. Although targeted for the 10-12 year old range...the book does show appeal for older readers."
---
"Time Trap is one of those books that keeps you thinking all the way through. It has an intriguing plot which stretches over two time frames and author Richard Smith does an excellent job of capturing the atmosphere of both eras."
---
OK, I rarely use the WOW word but Time Trap is one of those rare occasions and it gets it for the intrigue factor. The book is very well written and a delightful read, but the plot and the inclusion of London landmarks linked to a code make it one of the most engaging books I have read this year. Children will absolutely love it.

"I thought Time Trap was an absolutely riproaring adventure, full of fun and danger. The plot rushes along and poor Jamie and Todd barely get their breath back from one crisis before they are plunged headlong into another."
---
"Victorian London is beautifully evoked. It rises from the pages in all its danger, smoke and disease, but also in its energy and sense of progress. There is a great deal of detail, all accurately researched and readers will learn a lot about this period."

THE ILFORD RECORDER

By

Shaun Guntrip

An author had his own time travelling experience as he returned to his hometown to tell children about his new book.
Richard Smith, a former pupil at Uphall Primary School in Uphall Road, Ilford, visited Highlands Primary, Highlands Gardens, Ilford, to sign books for the children.
The Year 5 pupils had been reading his book, Time Trap, as part of a school project and Liz Payne from the school, said: “The children really enjoyed it.”

“All the books were sold; even some year four and six pupils bought it.”
One child in particular, Sean Faria, managed to finish the book in just three days.

Richard gave Sean the thumbs-up in an email. He said: “Finishing the book in three days is impressive.”

The story involves two boys who get transported back to London in 1862 and features a hidden code to crack that leads you on a trail through the capital’s streets.
